Stopped in on a Friday night based on reviews. We were looking for a dive bar to grab a quick drink and maybe something fried.
here's plenty of seating inside and there's a pretty big menu for being a small bar. We ended up ordering cheese curds and were excited to see that they looked like a smaller version of the state fair kind. They were out in minutes and tasted great. I would order them again without question. Plenty of drink options (full bar) and if you can get there during hour you'll get a great deal. Unfortunately happy hour ends at 6pm and we had just missed it.
Staff was friendly and checked on ya throughout the visit. They also have pull tabs to keep you busy while having a drink. I know the outside of Plum's May make you skeptical but stop in. It's a great hidden gem and it's perfect if you're looking for a place to grab a drink with friends. -

I really like Plums. I mainly come here because i can easily walk. But it's a very decent dive. Kinda dark, got a few tv's, prices are decent, the food ain't bad, it's definitely good enough for me. Get a mixed crowd of locals and college students. Pretty decent amount of space with an enclosed outdoor area if you need some fresh air . Plums is fine by me

Sat out on patio. Staff came out and sat in filthy cushioned patio chairs closest to door for their smoke break. Service was good but left after a beer after the tacky smoke-filled display.

My son recently moved to St. Paul from Chicago and we were looking for a place to grab a beer and some food. Plum's was exactly what we were looking for! Very relaxing atmosphere..sports on the TVs..good beer selection and great appetizers and sandwiches. We will be back!

Great place to chill out! Good food, good music and service! Had some walleye fingers and a summer shandy. Everyone in our party ordered something different and everything was delicious!!
